The GWorld Card, Colonial Cash and the Colonial Cash Dining Program combine to deliver a true quality of life experience where students enjoy freedom of choice to make dining and retail purchases that best suit their individual lifestyles and dining preferences. Colonial Cash is a declining balance, individualized dining program, featuring over 140 dining and retail options on campus and in the city.
Dining Plans for student living in residence halls:
Freshman (less than 30 credit hours)
- $1,400 ($700/semester) Campus Dining Dollars*
- $2,100 ($1,050/semester) Colonial Cash Dining Dollars**
Sophomore (30 to 59 credit hours)
- $2,500 ($1,250/semester) Colonial Cash Dining Dollars**
Junior (60 to 89 credit hours)
- $2,000 ($1,000/semester) Colonial Cash Dining Dollars**
Senior (90+ credit hours)
- $1000 ($500/semester) Colonial Cash Dining Dollars**
*Campus Dining Dollars represent the money required to be used at any of the 10 Campus Dining venues located in the Marvin Center, Duques Hall and Mount Vernon Campus. This money rolls over from fall to spring semester and a portion of the money (up to $700 for freshmen) can be carried forward to the following academic year (Fall 2011) but must be spent by the end of that academic year (Spring 2012) or it will be forfeited.
**Colonial Cash Dining Dollars represent the money available for use at any Colonial Cash dining partners including GW Campus dining locations. This money rolls over between semesters and from year-to-year and only expires if the account is inactive for a continuous 35 month-period.
