My First WyoOne ID Card

On Campus Students:

Students attending Freshman Orientation


Students have the option to upload their photo online through their WyoRecords checklist on WyoWeb. This is NOT required The option is one of the checklist items, but it is not required to complete other tasks within WyoWeb. A government issued, photo ID (driver's license, passport or military ID) is required when you come in to pick up your first WyoOne ID. If you didn't upload a photo please come by the office, room 167 Information Technology Center during regular business hours to have the ID made.

The ID card will become active at the beginning of the semester in which a student is registered (e.g. if you aren't registered for summer classes you will not be classified as a student during the summer semester, and your ID will not 'work').

Your first card is free. There is a replacement fee for any lost, stolen or damaged card. You will use the same ID for your entire academic career at UW.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students

Distance Education


Please stop and visit your
regional center to acquaint yourself with the benefits of obtaining a WyoOne ID card, and the procedures for doing so.

Faculty, staff and appointed


All UW employees are eligible for a WyoOne ID card after the appropriate hiring papers have been processed through Human Resources. A government issued, photo ID (driver's license, passport or military ID) is required when you come in to have your first WyoOne ID made.

Board retired


Your first card is free. There is a replacement fee for any lost, stolen or damaged card. If you turn in an expired card the replacement is free.

Spouses/dependents of students, faculty, staff and appointed


A spouse/dependent needs to have the W number of the student or employee with them, and a government issued, photo ID (driver's license, passport or military ID) is required when they come in to have their ID made.

A spouse is a spouse/partner with whom the UW student/employee is in a committed relationship and shares an address. A dependent is a 1) child (natural, legally adopted or step child) under the age of 18, or 2) an adult for whom the UW student/employee is a legal guardian.

The first spouse/dependent card is $25.00, and there is a replacement fee for any lost, stolen or damaged card.
