Dining Dollars Terms and Conditions

Dining Dollars is a pre-purchase of good and services from the dining opportunities on campus.  Dining Dollars are currently usable in the The Port (located in the LSUS University Center) and Stacks (located in the LSUS Noel Memorial Library).

Time Period for Dining Dollars
Once your Dining Dollar account is activated, it will remain open until the end of the summer semester of the academic year in which the account was opened. Dining Dollar balances will roll over from the fall semester to spring semester and from spring semester to summer semester during the academic year. Any remaining Dining Dollars will expire on the last day of the summer semester.

Unused Dining Dollar Balances
On the last day of summer semester any remaining Dining Dollar balance will expire. Dining Dollars are non-refundable.

Dining Dollar Changes
Dining Dollar changes will be allowed during the first two weeks of fall semester and the first two weeks of spring semester. Dining Dollar changes are effective the next business day after the request is received. Changes to Dining Dollars may be made via the PilotCard portal.

Adjustments, Shortages, and Negative Amounts
The University reserves the right to make appropriate adjustments or corrections to the amounts assigned to your Dining Dollars account. Any such adjustments will be fully documented and disclosed to you should you inquire about either your account balance or account transactions. Such inquiries need to be made to the LSUS Accounting Services Office. Account status can also be checked through the PilotCard portal.

It is your responsibility to keep track of your spending when using your Dining Dollars. After each transaction, your Dining Dollars balance is displayed at all locations where the PilotCard is accepted. If you attempt to make a purchase with an insufficient balance in your Dining Dollars, the transaction will not be approved. However, should the occasion arise when, due to system problems or otherwise, a purchase occurs with insufficient funds in your Dining Dollars (creating a "shortage" or "negative" amount), you agree to pay the negative amount against funds that may thereafter be deposited to your account or are charged for on your student account.

Disputes About Purchases
Purchases using your PilotCard are like cash and, as such, cannot be disputed in the same manner as credit or charge card transactions. If you have a question about a particular transaction, the LSUS Accounting Services Office will provide you with whatever information we may have regarding the matter. Any disputes about the nature or quality of goods or services purchased with the card need to be resolved by you with the establishment or sales location involved.
