Q: How do I login to my account?
A: Students/Faculty/Staff will ONLY be able to gain access to their account from within MySLC.

Guests that have been granted access will login through the Guest Login link provided within their initial "Guest Access" e-mail or they can simply go to http://www.slc.edu/parents/ and click on the 1card icon.

**The "Guest Access" e-mail is generated when they have been granted access by you.

Q: My family member wants to deposit money onto my 1Card Cash account, but I don't want them to be able to view my transactions. Is this possible?
A: Yes, Anybody can deposit money onto your account by them knowing your 9 digit ID number, going to http://www.slc.edu/parents, and clicking on the 1Card Icon. Please note your ID number must contain leading zeroes (which should be a total length of 9 digits)

Q: What if I lose my card?
A: You can disable your card online - just click on the Lost/Stolen Card link to the right. And if you find your card you can re-enable it too! Once you choose Deactivate, no one will be able to use your card. If you have paid the $15 to have a new card made and then find your old card we are unable to re-activate your old card. Any old card found should immediately be destroyed.

Q: I've lost my card - how do I get a new one?
A: First - you must disable your old card - you can do this right now online by selecting the Lost/Stolen card link on the right. Once you choose Deactivate, no one will be able to use your card.
Then visit the North Duplicating Center and go and have your new card made. The cost to replace a lost ID is $15. All funds on your card will automatically transfer to the new card.

Q: I found an old ID, can I have it reactivated?
A: We are no longer able to reactivate an old ID, all old cards should immediately be destroyed.

Q: When I try to make a deposit I receive an error message?
A: Almost all of the time the reason for this is the billing information you provided does not match the information your credit card company or bank has on file. In this case the normal error message you will receive is "DAVSNO"

Q: My deposit transaction was denied, but my credit card account is showing the transaction?
A: For whatever reason your transaction was denied (ex. insufficient funds, wrong billing address, etc.) your credit card company will put a hold on your account for the amount of the transaction even though it didn't go through. These are simply holds and will not turn into a transaction. Generally we hear of this problem more with check cards since these holds are put on real money instead of credit.

Q: What are the benefits of using the SLC 1Card?
A: Security….It’s safer than carrying cash. Leave your wallet locked up and use your ID. Since your photo and encoded information are on the 1Card, it is very difficult for someone else to use your card. Your account can be blocked if you lose or misplace the card. Convenience…You no longer have to fumble for money or change to pay for refreshments, snacks, meals, or copies at participating locations. It is faster than using cash or a credit card too! Money Management….It’s an excellent money management tool helping you budget and plan for your campus needs. New locations where you can use your card are becoming available all the time.

Q: Can I give my parents or a guest permission to view and deposit money on my account?
A: Yes. Using the Grant Additional Access link on the right side of your screen, you can assign up to 10 guest accounts. Each account will be assigned their own password.

Q: Why do you charge a $15 ID replacement fee?

Q: How often is my account information updated?
A: Balance information, deposits, and reporting a card lost happens instantly in real time (except during rare times where the system is unavailable due to reasons such as maintenance, in that case it will be availble as soon as the system becomes available). Detailed account information may take up to a day to be available.

Q: What do I do if I notice a problem with the site or if I have any issues?
A: Just simply hit the "Need Help?" button to the right of the page, and fill out with as much detail as possible all the information that is associated with the issue. You can also feel free to leave any comments or questions you have about the 1card itself.

Q: How does a copy/print terminal know what account I want to use to pay?
A: The system is setup to look at each account for the funds in the following order: GryphonPrint, and then the 1Card Cash account. If there are not enough funds available in any of those accounts the transaction is denied. The Balance displayed on the copiers is a combined total of GryphonPrint and 1card Cash.
