Q: What if I lose my Buff OneCard?

A: Calling: 303-492-1212. By reporting your card lost or stolen it is deactivated and your account(s) are suspended preventing unauthorized use. The cardholder is responsible for all use prior to when the card has been reported. All cards reported lost or stolen will require the cardholder to come to the Campus Card Office to have a new card reissued or a found card to be reinstated.
Students who live in the residence halls should contact their hall office if they loose their card after regular business hours.

Q: What if I damage my Buff OneCard?

A: Bring the damaged card to our new location and we will replace it for $5.00. If you have a Buff One Banking account on your card you will need to take the new card to the Elevations Credit Union so they can encode a new PIN.

Q: How can I protect my card form damage?

A:
Do not expose your card to any magnetic devices.
Keep your card in a safe carrying sleeve.
Do not punch holes in your card.
Do not give your Buff OneCard to anyone else. (Note that campus offices are not allowed to hold your card as collateral.)
Do not tamper with any information on your card.
Never give your Buff One Banking PIN number to anyone.
Memorize your PIN and do not write it on your card.

Q: What if I need to make changes to my card?

A: Bring your card to C4C N 180 and we will reprint the new card with a new name, classification or student ID number for $5.00. Proper documentation is usually required for all name and account changes.

Q: Do I need to get a new card every year?

A: No. Your card is valid as long as you continue to be a student or employee of the University of Colorado at Boulder. If you leave the university for 12 months or more you may need to have a new card issued.

Q: I lost my RTD CollegePass or Employee EcoPass card. Where can I get a replacement RTD pass?

A: EcoPass and CollegePass cards are only available at the Campus Card Office in N180 C4C. Your first card is free and replacement cards can be purchased for a fee of $10.00, which is required by the Environmental Center and RTD (www.rtd-denver.com).

Q: Why can't I put stickers on my card?

A: The sticker rubs off when put through the various card readers on campus and especially at ATM machines. It is very costly to replace or repair these readers. Putting a sticker directly on your card can result in your card being confiscated and destroyed. To obtain a new card the cost is $30.00.

Q: What RTD buses can I ride for free?

A: You can ride all the local and regional buses in Boulder and Denver. This includes: Lightrail and local Hop/Skip/Jump/Bound/Stampede/Leap services. The SkyRide to Denver International Airport now has a $2.50 fare each way for EcoPass cardholders when taking the service to and from DIA. RTD EcoPass and CollegePass cardholders must pay the full fare for special rides like the Rockies or Broncos Ride. For route information visit:

Q: Where can I use my card?

A: The card is required as official verification of eligibility for many student privileges, including access to the Student Recreation Center, Wardenburg Health Center, Housing dining centers,the UMC Grill, football and basketball games, checking out library books, printing and riding the local and regional buses.

Q: How can I use my Buff OneCard for ATM and Buff OneBanking transactions?

A: When you open a Buff OneBanking account with Elevations Credit Union you can pick your own PIN number to be encoded on your Buff OneCard. Then you can use it to access funds in your checking account at thousands of ATMs and hundreds of merchants that accept STAR network transactions. Go to the www.Elevationscu.com

Q: Where can I use my Buff One Banking account?

A: Buff One Banking is accepted on campus at the Hardrive Cafe, Alferd Packer Grill, Baby Does, Real McCoy, Board Room, DNA Cafe, Sneakers, Hearsay Cafe the East End Cafe, the CU Bookstore Wardenburg Health Center, and the CU Connection, Buff One Banking is accepted off campus at merchants on the STAR Network including King Soopers, Safeway and See Eyewear.

Q: Where can I spend my Munch Money?

Q: Where can I spend my Campus Cash?

A: Campus Cash is generally used for small dollar purchases on campus such as campus printing, food at UMC Grill, at most HDS Dining locations, and to do laundry in the Halls. Every cardholder has a Campus Cash account ready for activation when they are issued a Buff OneCard. Campus Cash Cards are also available for purchase by members of the public to access printing and dining services across campus.

Q: How do I make a deposit into my Campus Cash account?

A: The easiest was to make a Campus Cash deposit is online at www.buffonecard.com You will need a credit card and the card number you want to deposit funds into.

Q: I am a Continuing Education student. Am I eligible for a card?

A: Yes, you may purchase a card for $30. If you elect to pay the full student fees you will be eligible for a bus sticker and Student Recreation Center access.

A: Yes. Family members of an enrolled student resident may purchase a card for $5.00.

Q: I am a temporary employee. Am I eligible for a Buff OneCard and/or RTD EcoPass?

A: No. Temporary employees are not eligible for a faculty/staff Buff OneCard or the RTD benefit. You may purchase a Campus Visitor/Guest card for $5.00 if you bring authorizing paperwork to the Campus Card Office at the time of carding.

A: Retired employees are eligible for a Buff OneCard. Emeritus professors and employees returning to work are eligible for a Buff OneCard and an EcoPass card.

Q: How do I obtain a Campus Visitor/Guest Card?

A: Bring a government issued ID and a completed Departmental and Guest Card Request Form(PDF) that has been filled out and signed by your sponsoring department to the Campus Card Office in N180 C4C. All guest cards cost $5.00 payable at the time the card is issued.
