Q: What do I need to know about the OneCard Off-Campus?
A: Your OneCard may now be used to pay for goods and services at local merchants. Please note that only retail points can be used off campus. A list of participating merchants can be found at our "Retail Points Accepted" link. In order to use your OneCard off campus, you must first activate it. See the "Off Campus Use Activation" link to do so. This is a one-time activation that lasts as long as you have your card. You must also have funds available in your retail points account. Only retail points can be used off campus. (Meal Plans and dining points are generally tax exempt and must be used at on campus locations only.) Please note that alcohol or tobacco products may not be purchased with the OneCard.

Q: How do I obtain my OneCard?
A: A OneCard account can be opened by bringing a picture ID (drivers license, passport or state issued ID) to our Auxiliary Services Business Office in room 111 of the University Union.

Q: What documentation do I need to obtain a OneCard?
A: You will need to bring with you one of the following items: * a U.S. state-issued driver's license or ID card with a photograph. *official U.S. military ID card with a photograph *official U.S. federal government ID card with a photograph *a valid passport or... *a U.S. school ID or a high school yearbook with student's photo and name and an original Social Security card or official birth certificate. Please note: The first OneCard is issued free of charge. Lost, stolen or damaged OneCards are replaced for a $15 fee.

Q: How do I close my OneCard account?
A: Click on the "Account Closure Refund" form located to the left under Your Account on this site for additional information.

Q: What is my OneCard ID number?
A: Your OneCard ID number is the seven digit number beginning with "01", "02" or "03" that is embedded in the number above the barcode on your OneCard. Newer OneCards have the ID number printed under your picture.

Q: Can I transfer dining and retail points?
A: You can transfer retail to dining; however, you cannot transfer dining to retail. Please note that you must request this transfer in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office, located in room 111 of the University Union. Requests to transfer retail points may not be done over the phone.

Q: Will points transfer from semester to semester?
A: Yes, they will transfer from semester to semester until graduation or until you are no longer a Towson University student.

Q: I need a replacement ID. How much will it cost?
A: Replacement IDs are $15 and may be billed to your financial account.

Q: How are dining points used?
A: Points are deducted from your OneCard and can be used in any dining facility on campus. They can also be used in conjunction with your meal plan in the a la carte areas on campus. If you go over your allotted equivalency amount, you may utilize your dining points to pay the balance.

Q: If I receive a new OneCard does everything transfer to my new OneCard?
A: Yes, it's done automatically. Your old OneCard will no longer function.

Q: How do I add value to my OneCard?
A: Please see below the different ways you can add money to your OneCard account.

a. Click on the flashing "ADD CASH NOW" button located to the left and make deposits online via MasterCard, Visa or Discover.

b. You can visit our Auxiliary Services Business Office in room 111 of the University Union and deposit money onto your account. The Business Office accepts cash, check, Mastercard, Visa or Discover.

c. You may send a check made payable to "Towson University" to Towson University, Auxiliary Services Operations, room 111, University Union, 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252-0001. Please define the amount of dining and/or retail points you are purchasing.

Q: I left my card at home. Do you offer temporary IDs?
A: The Business Office does not issue temporary IDs. There is a $15 replacement fee for lost/stolen or damaged IDs. You can purchase a replacement ID with cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, retail points or have the cost transferred to your student financial account.

Q: Where is the OneCard office located?
A: The Auxiliary Services Business Office is now located in room 111 of the University Union. It is across from the University Store in the first floor lobby of the University Union.

Q: Why does "System Reset" appear on my account?
A: "System Reset" occurs for one of two reasons:

1. Since the meal plan week runs Friday through Thursday, a System Reset will occur on Friday morning to make sure you have the correct number of meals for the new week.

2. If you have a Traditional meal plan, a System Reset will occur every morning to make sure you have the correct number of meals for the next day.

Q: I am a Towson University student at an "alternate location" or "on-line only". How do I obtain my OneCard?
A: Each semester, Auxiliary Services runs a report to determine students taking courses at alternate locations and who have not already been issued a OneCard ID. A OneCard without a picture is mailed to your permanent address. If you do not receive your One Card, please email onecard@towson.edu. You must be registered to obtain a OneCard. Students taking classes at the SHADY GROVE location will be issued IDs from this site. Please see the Office of Student Activities at this location.
