Q: What is the difference between Panther Cash and Flight Instruction Accounts?

A: Your Panther Cash Account is accepted at all Florida Tech sites. Flight Instruction Account is only accepted at the Florida Tech Aviation location.

Q: What exactly is the Panther ACCESS Card Account?

A: The Panther ACCESS Card Account is a convenient, flexible and cashless way to pay for goods and services on campus. The account is controlled by your Campus Services Office and is available to you at anytime. All you have to do is make a deposit! Food, Laundry, Vending, Copiers ,Printing and more.

Q: How do I put money on my card?

A: You can deposit anytime on line using this site at WWW.FIT.EDU or in person at the Student Accounting Office.

Q: Can I withdraw cash from my account?

A: No, due to banking regulations; cash can not be withdrawn from the account. All deposits will remain on your account until you use them or separate from the university by graduation or withdrawal. You can request a refund of any remaining balance when you leave the university.

Q: Is there a fee to have the Panther Access Card?

A: There are no fees associated with having the Panther Access Account.

Q: Is there a minimum balance or deposit required on a Panther Cash Plan?

A: There are no minimums for either balance or deposit on a Panther Cash Plan.

Q: Where can I use my account?

A: The Panther Access card can be used to pay for goods and services in the Bookstore, Library, Copy Machines, Print Services, Evans Dining, The Rathskeller, Black Kats Kafe, SUB Cafe, Center Court, Catering Services, Vending Machines, FIT Aviation, Copy Center and the Health Center. Just about anywhere on campus that you need to pay for anything.

Q: What happens if I lose my card?

A: Report lost cards immediately to Campus Service or Security. With your ID number and password you can turn your card off from this on-line location. Your card will be flagged as lost and therefore disabled. Go to Campus Services at your convenience for a replacement card. (Replacement card fees may apply) If you find your card you can activate your card from this site also.

Q: I have FlexCredit with my meal plan, why do I need this?

A: Although the FlexCredit portion of your meal plan and the Panther Access Account are controlled by your student ID Card; the FlexCredit is good in food location and vending only, the Panther Card Account allows you access to much more than food. See the answer to the next question for campus locations that accept the Panther Card Account for payment.

Q: Can I view my FlexCredit Balance or make deposits to it on-line?

A: You CAN view your FlexCreit balance and transaction history on-line. You cannot make deposits to you FlexCredit account on-line but you can by visiting the Campus Services office.

Q: What if my acount does not show up on-line?

A: Your account may not be active or added to your account. Please contact the Campus service Office 321-674-8076.

Q: What can be bought with the Flight Instruction Account?

A: The funds in the Flight Instruction Account can only be used for College of Aero flight and ground instruction at the Airport.

Q: Can I get cash out of the Flight Instruction Account?

A: Cash withdrawals are not available. This account is a dedicated account only for flight instruction funds.

Q: Can I get a refund of unused funds from the Flight Instruction Account?

A: Unused money deposited in the Flight Instruction Account is refunded upon request when a student withdraws from a course or upon completion of a course. Otherwise, unused money is available for the next flight course. Contact Aviation to start the refund process.

Q: Can I pay for College of Aero Flight and Instruction at the Airport with check, cash or other credit cards?

A: No. The Flight Instruction Account is the only method of payment accepted at the Airport for College of Aero Flight and Ground Instruction. One of the advantages of using your Flight Instruction account is that all charges for College of Aero Flight and Ground Instruction are available for review by accessing your Flight Instruction Account on the internet.

Q: What happens if I arrive at the airport and don't have enough money on my Flight Instruction Account?

A: Two options, You can make a deposit to add money to your account or you must reschedule your lesson in advance. Otherwise, you will be subject to a no show charge.
