Q: Do I need an appointment to receive my ID Card?
A: No appointment is necessary to receive your ID Card.

Q: What do I need in order to obtain an ID Card?
A: In order to receive your ID Card, you must be registered for classes and must present a photo ID, such as a valid Driver’s License or Passport. Students are issued their first Pioneer ID Card at no charge.

Q: What should I do if I lose my ID Card?
A: Immediately report the lost or stolen ID Card to the Pioneer ID Card Office. This may be done by clicking Lost/Stolen Card in the Personalize menu, by calling 303-871-4545, or in person at the office. You may also call Campus Safety after hours to deactivate the card. The Pioneer ID Card Office will issue a replacement ID Card for $20.00. Please return found ID’s to the Pioneer ID Card Office. This can save a fellow student heartache and money!

Q: Do registered students receive a new ID Card every year?
A: The Pioneer ID Card does not expire as long as you are a current student. A new card will not be issued each year.

Q: How much does a new ID Card cost?
A: Lost ID’s can be replaced for $20.00. Damaged cards can be replaced for only $5.00.

Q: Where can I use my ID Card?
A: Click Locations Accepting Card in the NAVIGATE menu to view all the locations at which you can use your ID Card.

Q: Do I need my ID Card to sell back books or buy computer items at the DU Bookstore?
A: Yes. In order to sell your books during book buyback, you must present your Pioneer ID Card. Computer software is educationally priced, and students must show their ID Card when purchasing computer items. However, the Pioneer ID Card is not necessary to buy textbooks.

Q: Can I withdraw cash from my Flex account?
A: Refunds can be requested by filling out a refund request form. The form is available on the Pioneer Card website or in the Pioneer ID Card Office. Refunds will most often be made by check and mailed to your address. Refunds under $10 will be made in cash. Accounts inactive for over 12 months will be charged a $5.00 monthly service charge. Please remember to request a refund when graduating. Returned items purchased with your ID Card will be credited back to the debit account used.
